Aves Housing provide Hostel accommodation to over 470 homeless people in Bromley, Croydon, Enfield, Greenwich, Kensington & Chelsea, Lambeth, Lewisham, Merton, Southwark, Sutton, and Wandsworth. We offer Supported Accommodation to those in highest need and non supported accommodation to those with reduced needs.
Our objects are:
‘To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing homelessness, social exclusion, relieving the needs of those who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society by the provision of social housing to those in housing need, with suitable care, support or supervision.’

We manage hostels and semi-independent shared houses. Specifically we:
Support people made homeless by opening the door to safe housing, supporting their tenancy, physical and mental health. We provide food and the facilities for preparing food.
Visit each room once a week for a personal wellbeing and health and safety check
Chair meetings with the clients at each project to discuss issues relating to the project such as cleaning, changes to the project
Provide one to one client sessions every 2 weeks. Risk needs assessment and support plan at least every 6 months
Provide support with education, training, work experience that leads to full-time employment through Crisis, THT, Working Chance and BITC.
Provide support with move on accommodation
The maximum stay is usually 2 years.
Preventing Homelessness very important to us. Our support teams work with hundreds of people at risk – including:
High to Medium Risk Clients with Complex needs,
Ex-Servicemen,
Refugees,
those seeking asylum,
Victims of Domestic Violence
those made homeless by the introduction of Universal Credit and other changes to the benefits system.
Our clients are referred to us by the local councils, social services, and other Third Sector organisations.
By providing accommodation with the support we assist homeless people to get back into education and full time work and ultimately move on into their own independent accommodation so reducing the social impact on the wider community of homelessness and social exclusion.
Since we opened our doors in 2010 we have provided assistance to over 3,000 clients with over 95% achieving their goals and successful outcomes.
